As I scroll through Instagram and linger across websites like amazon and eBay, my obsession list just keeps getting bigger…and bigger…and bigger. Right now, these are the 5 things currently on my “I NEED TO HAVE!” list, as I like to call my “Obsession List”.
1) WORKOUT GEAR
Just a little over a month ago, I found out how impactful fitting a workout in your schedule can be. After figuring out I had started my journey on getting my body fit and toned, I found out I have a slight obsession with workout clothes. After buying my first pair of running tights, I fell in love with how comfortable (and cute) they were. Now, after a month of working out and rewarding myself with a second pair, I can honestly admit that not only am I obsessed with how comfortable and cute they are…but I also can’t help to love how amazing they make my butt and legs look. I know I should thank the numerous amounts of leg day’s I do during the week, but I also feel the need to thank the pants too. Now, as I scroll through profiles of women body builders and power lifters on Instagram, I could look at the workout gear they wear for hours on end. After buying my most recent pair of running tights (and also, I forgot to mention I also bought a running tank that is super airy), I have realized not only do I feel good in them, but they make me want to go work out even more than I already do. That might seem silly…and super girly…but it’s the truth! I can’t wait to throw them on and head to the gym to get my work out started! So…please, whoever loves me and is reading this, all you have to do is buy me a plethora of sports bras, running tights, spandex, and tanks and I will be satisfied forever.

2) TENNIS SHOES
If you have kept up with my posts throughout the weeks, you probably know by now that I have never been the “athletic” girl…ever. But, now that I have started my fitness expedition, I am in dire need of a good (and sick) pair of tennishoes. I know, cool tennishoes have always been “the thing” and yes, I grew up with girls and guys surrounding me bragging about how they had the “newest” pairs, but I was never really into it until recently. I think if any of you saw the tennishoes I wear to the gym currently, you’d all either burst out laughing or throw up. In the 8th grade, I borrowed one of my best friends tennishoes because I would have random (and very, very short) work out bursts and needed a shoe that was not my every day flip-flops to run in. Yes, you guessed right; I am still wearing these very shoes. They are basically hand-me-downs, and boy do they look it. Off-white and orange and very, very beat up. So, I am saving up, in hopes of buying a new pair of shoes that I can actually call my own…and maybe even brag about.

3) MAC MAKEUP
As a 17 year old starting out my own freelance business as a makeup artist here in Central Ohio, I didn’t have much money to begin my business with. For the past year of doing freelance, I’ve done research and watched a plethora of YouTube videos as well as read a handful of reviews about what makeup works best for what. I found that I could buy makeup at a local Wal-Mart or CVS and if I applied it correctly, the price of it could fool anyone. Recently, a good friend of mine and superb hairstylist in the area gifted me with three MAC loose pigmented eye shadow's as a “Congrats!” for graduating. Psyched because I do not have much MAC products in my kit, I went home and instantly starting playing around with them. As soon as I touched the brush to the pigment, I was astonished. All I had to do was lightly tap the pigment, and enough to cover my entire lid grabbed onto it. The pigments showed up on my eye as bright and sparkly as they looked in the little MAC jar. After messing around with them, I had a makeup epiphany. I realized that even though these little jars cost around $25 a pop, they were COMPLETELY worth it. I know these will last me over a year, not to mention how stunning they are. Comparing it to products like Maybelline, L’Oreal, etc, you realize how much you have to use when using these products because the pigments aren’t as striking once they hit your lid. Therefore, you go through the products really quick. I figure you end up spending way more money buying these “cheap” products than you would buying the amazing pigments at MAC. Now, I can say I want my entire kit to be filled with MAC everything. I am obsessed…and saving up.

4) CALVIN KLEIN BRA & UNDERWEAR
I am DROOLING over these. There is something about them that makes me NEED them. I love that they aren’t all cutesy and girly. They are hard, gritty, and they seem to make all body shapes look amazing. I think after a few months of working out and power lifting, I will have to gift myself with a set of these. How can you not love them?!

5) ALL BLACK EVERYTHING
In August, I am starting my journey to receiving my cosmetology license at Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School: The Ohio Academy here in Columbus. Of course, I am super pumped about starting school and being able to focus on my goals 24/7, but a few months ago, I was told that I will only be able to wear black. No colors. No white. No nude, no gray. All black. I know that would be easy for a lot of you, but nope… not for me. I love spicing up outfits with patterns and color, or even just color blocking. So, I will need to find a way to make my all black outfits stand out and still scream “ME”. I think there is some shopping time in store for this.
